Vozara exists to preserve what matters most to your family. The stories, voices, and memories you share with us are private by default, portable by design, and never used for advertising or sold to third parties.
We collect only what's needed to deliver and improve Vozara. We do not run advertising and have no interest in selling your data.
| Data | Why we collect it |
|---|---|
| Email address | Account authentication and family invitations. Never shared with third parties. |
| Voice recordings | Transcribed to create your story. Stored privately in encrypted storage. Not used to train AI models. |
| Transcripts & conversations | Form the text of your story archive. Visible only to you and your invited family members. Anonymised conversation patterns may be reviewed by Vozara to improve interview quality. |
| Photos | Added to your story archive when you choose to upload them. Stored privately. |
| Session usage data | Anonymous analytics to help us improve Vozara. No personally identifying information. |
Where your stories live. Vozara runs on its own dedicated database instance — a private PostgreSQL project (hosted on Supabase) provisioned solely for Vozara, not a shared or public database. Every table is protected by row-level security, so each family can only ever read and write its own records; no other user, family, or outside party can access your stories. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and backed up regularly. In short, it's a managed, isolated instance — not an open schema anyone can browse.
Vozara is built on Supabase (Postgres database with Row Level Security and encrypted storage). Your stories and recordings are protected by row-level access controls — no other family can access your archive, and our team cannot read your stories without going through the same access controls as your account.
Voice recordings are stored in a private storage bucket. They are never publicly accessible by URL. Signed playback URLs expire after a short time window.
You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete any personal data Vozara holds about you.
Download your archive — export all your stories and conversations as a self-contained HTML file you can open in any browser, with no dependency on Vozara continuing to operate. Available in your account settings once logged in.
Example — in your account settings
Delete your account — request full deletion from your account settings. You will be prompted to download your archive first.
Correct your data — update your name and email in account settings. Story transcripts can be edited from each story page.
Vozara uses AI to conduct interviews, transcribe recordings, analyse stories, and organise them into life chapters. This processing is done on your behalf to create your archive. Your recordings and transcripts are not used to train AI models — they are processed only to generate your specific archive content.
Any voice re-narration features (where a story is re-read in the original speaker's voice) require explicit opt-in consent and apply only to stories you designate. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Vozara uses these services to operate. Each has its own privacy policy.
